Die Brücke ist konstruiert aus einem innovativen Materialverbund aus faserverstärkten Kunststoffen (GFK/CFK) und Brettschichtholz. Die Ummantelung von Holz mit einem Faser-Kunststoff-Verbund (FKV) dient der Verbesserung der Trageigenschaften und dem aktiven Holzschutz - einer hohen Wetter- und Korrosionsbeständigkeit. Die Dauerhaftigkeit der Holzkonstruktion und damit die Nutzungsdauer der Brücke wird im Vergleich zur einfachen Holz- konstruktion signifikant erhöht.

Diese neue ressourcensparende Hybrid-Bauweise ermöglicht die Reduktion der Bauteilstärken, somit einen reduzierten Materialbedarf. Trotz höherer Investitionskosten ist diese Bauweise langfristig aufgrund minimaler Instandhaltungs-aufwendungen und einer wesentlich höheren Lebensdauer gegenüber konventionellen Konstruktionen aus Holz wirtschaftlicher und nachhaltiger.

 
Die Brücke wird komplett vorgefertigt und kann sehr einfach und schnell montiert werden. Schraubverbindungen an den Betonfundamenten machen eine Demontierbarkeit bei Hochwasser möglich.

This bridge is designed to utilize an innovative material combination of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) and glued laminated timber. Sheathing the wood with a fiber-plastic compound improves its structural qualities and actively protects the wood against weathering and corrosion. The durability of this wood structure and therefore its function as a bridge is significantly increased in comparison to simple wood structures.

This new, resource-saving, hybrid construction allows the strength of the individual structural parts to be reduced thereby reducing the amount of raw material required. Despite high initial investment costs this construction method is in the long run more economic and sustainable due to minimal maintenance costs and an essentially longer lifespan in contrast to conventional wood structures.

The bridge can be completely prefabricated and easily and quickly assembled. Simple screw joints at the concrete foundations allow possible disassembly during flood events.
