Die Karlsruher Planstadt, die geometrisch fundierte Planfigur, verwendet Symmetrien und Rasterordnungen. Als zentrales Element dient ein Kreis mit 900 m Durchmesser, dessen 32 Strahlen als „Zirkel“ einen Zirkelschlag ergeben. Mittelpunkt der Stadtgestalt ist das Schloß.
Die Architektur verwendet die Leitmotive der „Follies“, „Staffage“, „Insel“, „Stoff“. Das architektonische Element des Pavillons bildet eine Insel im Grünen, steht seinerseits selbst auf einer solchen und umfließt eine der zentralen Baumgruppen im Park.
Der Besucher folgt der blauen Linie, welche als Kunstwerk den Rasen durchquert und die besagte Baumgruppe tangiert.Dort baut der Pavillon neue Sichtbezüge im Schloßpark – zum Schloß und in die angrenzenden Lichtungen.

Das Stoffliche symbolisiert Leichtigkeit, Flüchtigkeit und Durchscheinen. Mit Hilfe weißer Vorhänge, von denen der äußere ein leichter, im Wind wehender Fahnenstoff sein wird, läßt sich der Pavillon in Gänze öffnen und gibt der Landschaft den größtmöglichen Freiraum. Geschlossen bietet ein zweiter weißer Vorhang größtmöglichen Witterungsschutz. Im Veranstaltungsraum selbst ist sogar ein dritter schwerer Theatervorhang angebracht, der die Akustik verbessert und verschiedene Nutzungsszenarien für die Bühne zuläßt. Der Pavillon nutzt dünne weißen Stelzen – aus lackierten geschälten Baumstämmen um das Dach zu tragen. Dach: einer leicht modellierten Landschaft oberseitig in Triangel- Flächen aufgelöst, der als weißer Kunstrasen auf der Dachfolie das Dach umspannt
Der Pavillon wird aus drei Bereichen gebildet: dem Café, dem Foyer und dem Veranstaltungsraum.
Die konstruktive Ausführung gewährleistet Dauerhaftigkeit über die Nutzungszeit und darüber hinaus: der Pavillon wird vom Naturschutzbund Saarland e.V. (NABU) nach dessen Nutzungszeit in Karlsruhe erworben, die ihn für dauerhafte Zwecke umgestalten würden.

Karlsruhe, as a geometric designed figure is based on symmetries and grids. Using a 900 meter diameter circle with 32 rays, the castle represents the center of the city.
Designing a pavilion for the citys anniversary, several aspects were significant: the citys historic urban development, the baroque spirit, the terms Follies, Staffage and Fabrics
and finally Architecture as a work of art.
Guided by a blue line on the lawn, a piece of art, the visitors reach the pavilion, an island in the green space.
Located next to a group of trees, visual links are generated to the castle and adjacent clearings. Three areas form the pavilion: café, foyer and event room.Combining café, foyer and event room, banquets or event caterings seem conceivable. Fabrics symbolize lightness, fugacity and transparency.
The pavilions facade is formed by three different types of white curtains:
An external light weight flag fabric, a second curtain for weather protection and a heavy acoustic curtain (event room). Opening the curtains, the pavilion can be entirely integrated in the landscape, whereas a closed facade offers shelter to visitors.

A gently shaped roof, divided into triangle surfaces is supported by thin white stilts - peeled and lacquered tree trunks. White artificial turf is considered as roof cladding.
In addition to general interior lighting,LED illumination is considered between the external curtains. Thus, the pavilion can be illuminated during evening events. Outdoors, indirect lighting will be provided by LED - light bars, placed beneath the terrace floorboards. The pavilions sustainable design ensures durability, even after the period of use. After the 300th anniversary, the Society for Nature Conservation Saarland will purchase the pavilion, recycling all components and reshaping the design for a permanent use. To promote the anniversary, satellites will be spread throughout the city. There are two designs of the satellite: The Nukleus, an accessible space or Infopoint, easily transportable by a truck. The Island which inlcudes the Nukleus and an additional element (group of trees, island).
